Terms of use
These terms apply when you install or use Sonalo (“the app”), published by Gravbreak Labs (“we”, “us”). By using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own learning. You may not redistribute, resell, or reverse-engineer the app, or use it to build a competing service.
2. Course content
The word lists, example sentences and dialogues in the app are provided for learning purposes. Some translations are produced with automated translation and reviewed in batches — they may contain the occasional awkward phrasing. Please treat them as study material, not as professional translation.
3. Pronunciation scores
Scores come from an automated speech assessment service. They are a training aid: useful for tracking whether a sound is getting closer, but not an official language certificate or a professional assessment.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Purchases are processed by Google Play under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel in the Google Play Store → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its policy.
5. Fair use of our servers
The app uses our servers for speech synthesis, pronunciation scoring and translation. Daily limits exist so that this stays affordable for everyone. Automated abuse, attempts to bypass limits, or scripted bulk use may lead to access being blocked.
6. Your content
Custom words and sentences you add stay on your device. You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping it appropriate if someone else uses your device.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service: speech, translation and store services are operated by third parties, and offline use has the limits described in the app.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app or on this page with a new date.
