Sound-level feedback

Each attempt is scored for accuracy, fluency, completeness and prosody — and broken down word by word, sound by sound.

2,500+ words, 2,500+ example sentences and 150 dialogues. Every word ships with an example sentence, so you learn it in context.

Your own sentences

Type something — or just say it in your own language — and Sonalo translates it into the language you are learning and adds it to your library, ready to practise.

Compare your take with the reference as many times as you like. Recordings stay on your device, and after a scored attempt the star rating fills itself in.

Which languages can I learn?

Course libraries today: English (US and UK), Spanish, Chinese and French. The app itself speaks 13 languages, and more course libraries are coming.

How are recordings handled?

Your recordings are stored on your device. When you ask for a pronunciation score or a spoken translation, that clip is sent to our speech service (Azure AI Speech), scored, and deleted right after. Recordings longer than the limit are never uploaded.

Does it work offline?

Practising, recording and self-rating work offline. Reference audio, scoring and translation need a connection.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Google Play: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions. Your progress stays on your device.
